Opening: Entry Level Construction/Cable Technician

Ridge Equipment Company is seeking an Entry Level Technician to support our growing needs as operations expand. This role will provide excellent customer service along with a great team spirit attitude. 

Location :

100 Railroad Ave, Westminster MD 21157, job sites all throughout the MD/DC/VA area.

Education :

Highschool diploma or equivalent

Clearance :

Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug test.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent Customer Service.
  • Interact well with customers and your team.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Preparing materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site.
  • Consult team leaders and managers on construction plans.
  • Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install DAS equipment and antenna systems
  • Install system infrastructure to include conduit, wiring, and enclosures.
  • Clean and clear debris and materials.
  • Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.
  • Any and all other duties assigned to you by your supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
  • Follow safety standards.
  • We will provide on the job training.
  • Must be able to work at heights of a ladder and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with power and hand tools.
  • Ability to travel to project locations throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia on an as needed basis.
  • Detailed oriented and able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pass a drug test and background check. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • High school diploma or GED (associate degree or better, preferred)
